On the main road, somewhere between the station and the tourist office, is a restaurant, Yama Soba, that obviously serves soba sets (very tasty and not too expensive: from 1100 ¥). Right across the street is Chikuzen, a very good udon restaurant. And there are also three good restaurants at the Tenzan Notemburo onsen complex.
