There is JTB's Sunrise Tours, which offer tours of Kyoto with English-speaking guides. It starts at the lobby of the New Miyako hotel, south of Kyoto Station. It costs around 5300 ¥ for a half-day tour and you can buy the ticket at travel agencies or bus terminals. You can go with Johnny Hillwalker on a walking tour that starts from Higashi-Hongan-ji. The tour costs 2000 ¥ and you can call at 075/622 6803 to book a place.
