Happoen garden in Tokyo

Posted 1 year ago by sakin in response to avatar donny's question: I'd like to visit one of those Japanese gardens they have in Tokyo, happen to know one? (give a different answer) .

Shirokanedai Station is an access point to the lovely Happoen garden. It's open daily between 10am-5pm, and its name means " beautiful from any angle". It's true... A stroll through its twisted pathways is a breath of beauty, passing by the 200 year old bonsai trees, a stone lantern that people say it was carved 800 years ago.... and a central pond. In the heart of the trees there is the delightful teahouse, where charming ladies in kimono will serve you matcha and okashi. Don't forget your camera!
