If you are a real bargain hunter, you should head for south of Ueno Park to get to this bustling market area called Ameyoko cho, that goes along the west side of JR train lines for half a kilometre. The place is dealing in all kinds of foodstuffs, household goods, and souvenirs... and prices come pretty low if you know how to bargain.
