There's a very nice and classy French restaurant on 247 Yamatecho, called the Yamate Jubankan. It's quite easy to find: it's right opposite the Foreigners' Cementery. The restaurant is upstairs and downstairs there's a less formal dining area, where you can have a snack. Prices are around 3000 ¥ per person for a lunch. In the summer, in July and August, they also have a nice beer garden.
